Who we are

We are a group of enthusiastic trampers, mainly but by no means exclusively, from the south-eastern suburbs of Auckland.

Our aims are
  • to provide a variety of outings to meet the needs of the family and individual
  • to promote the principles of conservation

The club organises tramps every weekend with day tramps on Sundays of 3 - 6 hours duration, varying from easy family walks to more physically challenging harder tramps. Approximately one weekend per month we arrange weekend / overnight tramps which involves tenting or staying in a hut.

We offer a wide variety of destinations within the upper North Island with the occasional trip further afield.

E.g.
Days: Waitakeres, Hunua Ranges and Coromandel.
.
Weekends: Coromandel, Kaimai Ranges and the Rotorua area.
.
Holiday weekends: Lake Waikaremoana, Tongariro National Park and Pureora.
.
Variety: Conservation projects, Family camping weekend, Mid winter Christmas dinner and canoeing

First aid and Bushcraft courses are also available through allied organisations.

If you are an experienced tramper, we offer ongoing challenges and we welcome skills and new ideas.

If you are new to tramping, or wanting to increase your experience, we provide advice and encouragement in a friendly and supportive environment, so that everyone can confidently and safely enjoy the outdoor experiences that New Zealand affords.
